Sooner Hockey opened the 23-24 season with two wins against MD1 Waldorf on September 15/16. Goalkeeper Gage Redman chalked up his first win of the season holding Waldorf to 3 goals on 32 shots in Friday action with Goalkeeper Brendan Culbertson-Bond netting his first shutout of the 23-24 season, defending 23 shots by the Warriors.
Incoming freshman, Ben Mondou, netted his first collegiate goal in the second period of Friday’s game with assists by Nate Pane and fellow freshman Andrew Low.
The Sooners open their home season this Friday and Saturday, September 22/23 at Arctic Edge Ice Arena taking on the Arkansas Razorbacks. Both games drop the puck at 705pm.
